BOOKING A PARTY
Hello Hillsmere Pool Members, below are the Procedures & Rules for booking and having a party.
Please read both.
- If you have a date in mind for a party, please check the calendar for availability.
- If your date is available, send an email to
parties@hillsmerepool.org
with the pertinent information.
- We will put a tentative reservation on the calendar in brown and send you a reply.
- Not until we receive full payment, plus deposit will you be allowed to have your party. Reservation will turn blue when all requirements are met.
Rules for 2010 Are As Follows
- You must be a pool member to reserve the picnic area for a party or host a party at the pool. If your party consists of 12 [twelve] people or more you must use the designated picnic area.
- Reservations are for 3 hours and on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are two blocks of time for parties: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. The reservation includes one grill. The other grill is for pool members to use. If you must use the 2nd grill, let members share as needed.
- The location fee for the picnic area with a grill is $35.00 plus applicable guest fees as detailed below. A clean-up deposit of $75.00 is required. This deposit is refundable after the area is cleaned and the lifeguards have inspected and approved the area. Clean up includes, but is not limited to, hosing down the area and taking your trash to the dumpster. The guards have the key to the pool dumpster.
- Checks are to be made to: Hillsmere Pool Association
- All guests who are not pool members must wear a guest band or have a guest pass to attend the party. Pool member sponsoring the party should purchase the guest bands in advance. Guest bands are $3.00 and are available in the pool office. All children under 16 years old must pass the swim test in order to enter the main pool or diving area.
- Hosts should be sure all guests leave promptly after the party, pool members may stay.
- No amplified music except for the three HPA Board sanctioned parties.
- No open invitations.
- Please check the pool's party calendar first for availability at: http://www.hillsmerepool.org. Click on "party calendar" link.
- No parties on holidays.
- After checking, you can call the 24 hour pool line @ 410-263-4456, option #7 or email Parties@Hillsmerepool.org, Subject "HPA Party Reservation Request".
- HP A must approve the party first, 10 days advance notice. Anchor Aquatics form must be filled out and submitted to them. Forms are available here.
- Anchor Aquatics (410-956-0744) must receive the request at least 7 days before party if there are going to be 20 or more children, 30 or more adults or the party is scheduled after normal operating hours: 11am-8pm Monday thru Thursday, Saturday & Sunday, and Friday llam-9pm.
- All fees for additional guards or other costs are to be paid by the host.
- The guards will have a copy of the calendar. For reference purposes only. Parties must be booked with HPA and Anchor Aquatics.
